Introduction
 Fredericksburg is a small town located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. Named after Prince Frederick of Prussia, Fredericksburg is over 160 years old as it was founded on May 8, 1846. Fredericksburg still retains much of its German heritage which can be seen today on anything from street signs to the yearly Oktoberfest. Located a little over an hour from both Austin and San Antonio, Fredericksburg is in a prime position for those seeking to escape the city, yet still be close enough to it if they need to be.
This small Texas Hill Country community boasts an amazing Main Street full of shops, many recreational amenities and attractions including the National Museum of the Pacific War, the Lyndon Baines Johnson State and National Historic Parks and Enchanted Rock State Park, and plenty of beautiful countryside to hike and bike through or just gaze at from your back porch.
